Repair Terms and Conditions


The Good Stuff! 90-day Guarantee on all repairs, should a defect occur within 90 days, on a part that was installed in your device by Tech Guru LLC, we will rework the job at no additional cost to you. (This excludes additional customer damage, or reinfection with a virus, unfortunately we can’t guarantee you won’t drop your phone again, or open that dodgy email a second time.)  Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty on all Screens, protecting against manufacturer defects, not protecting against customer induced damage, including but not limited to Cracks, water damage, pressure/ or heat damages.

NOTICE: Apple has implemented a code to tell you if a part has been replaced in your device. There is a chance you may receive a warning that a part is non-genuine. This does not affect how the device works and is not a reason to request a refund. This notification is not limited to any specific part.

The Bad Stuff! We have a 30-day collection policy on repairs. If your device is not collected within 30 days, we may have to sell it to recoup cost of repair, or if it’s completely broken send it to the great recycling center in the sky. We just don’t have the space to keep all non-repairable and uncollected devices.

I release Tech Guru LLC from any liability for any data loss which may occur, or component failures occurring during attempted repair, testing, or at any other time. Tech Guru LLC is not responsible for loss of profit or any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damage occurring during or after device service.

We can’t guarantee your data. We strongly advise that your devices are backed up before bringing them to us. Computers and electronics are fragile things and if you’re bringing it to us for repair, the device is deemed damaged, and may have un-seen damage internally. We take all reasonable precautions to protect your data to the best of our ability but can’t guarantee your device won’t give up the ghost while being worked on. If we have to take steps to erase your information, we will always ask you first.

Water damage and drop damage are more complex repairs than may first appear. The nature of water damage means that there can be multiple simultaneous faults on the device caused by corrosion of tiny electrical components. to repair this, we need to remove the corrosion, which sometimes can completely break damaged connections causing further faults to appear.

Drop damage can cause micro cracking on the circuit board of the device, these connections are so small and so fragile that even though the connection may be holding when you bring in the device, the simple and necessary process of dismantling the device can be the straw that breaks the camel’s back, rendering the device beyond repair. This is not due to any mishandling or negligence it is simply not being able to predict the unseen damage inside of your device.

All deposits are non-refundable, no exceptions to this policy.

Agreement for Repair


1. Agreement for repair

1.1 The terms set out in these Conditions of Repair (“Agreement”) shall apply to the service we provide to repair your electronic device, mobile phone, game system, laptop, or desktop computer.

1.2 Reference to “us”, “we” and “our” refer to Tech Guru LLC and references to “you” and “your” are references to you, the person addressed on this form.


All Repairs (Unless Otherwise Stated)


2. All repairs (unless otherwise stated)

2.1 This Agreement shall commence from the date you sign and apply to all future repairs you may have completed through Tech Guru LLC. This agreement is connected to your store account for future repairs.

2.2 We shall make all reasonable efforts to repair your Equipment subject to the availability of any parts required and/or the terms of any relevant guarantee or warranty. We shall perform the Services using our reasonable care and skill.

2.3 We carry out diagnostics on your device prior to repair and will contact you in the event of our diagnosis differing from your initial description of faults. We accept no responsibility for unseen internal damage on commencing diagnosis of your device, be it caused by previous repair, drop damage, liquid damage, or other circumstances beyond our control.

2.4 Water and drop damaged devices that are partially functioning may, during the course of diagnosis or attempted repair, become inoperable due to unseen damage and movement of required components during repair. We will not be held responsible for a device becoming beyond economical repair during assessment or attempted repair unless damaged through negligence or willful misconduct.

2.5 Any time estimate for completion of the Service which may be given to you is an estimate only and does not form any obligation under the terms of this Agreement.

2.6 We shall notify you when the Equipment has been repaired and is available for collection. If you do not collect the Equipment within 90 days of notification, we may dispose of the Equipment. Any sum obtained on disposal will be used to meet any unpaid estimate or repair charges you are liable to pay and any remaining balance will be sent to you or will remain payable by you accordingly.

2.7 If we are unable to complete the Service for any reason, or the Service will incur further costs payable by you, we will notify you immediately.

2.8 Our out of warranty/chargeable repairs are guaranteed for 90 days from the date the Equipment is ready for collection. If the same fault should re-occur, we will repair it free of charge. If the Equipment develops an additional fault unrelated to the original repair, the repair warranty contained in this paragraph will not apply. All warranty repairs are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty dates.

2.9 We may, in certain circumstances, send your Equipment to another repair center and sub-contract the repair work to a third party.

2.10 All charges will be subject to VAT and any other government taxes or duties as applicable.

2.11 We are a third-party repair center and our actions on your device may void the manufacturer’s warranty and insurance cover. We will not be held responsible for this.


Terms for Warranty Repairs


3. Terms for warranty repairs

3.1 Where repair is to be carried out under a relevant guarantee or warranty, we may ask you to provide sufficient proof of any guarantee or warranty.

3.2 If your Equipment is beyond economic repair, we may at our absolute discretion replace your Equipment with a suitable equivalent rather than carry out repair works.

3.3 If the nature of the repair falls outside the terms of your warranty or guarantee, then you may incur a charge for the repair under the terms as set in clause 4. We will endeavor to notify you of any such charge prior to undertaking any work.

3.4 If you provide misinformation to Tech Guru LLC regarding the age of your device, resulting in an expired warranty, Tech Guru LLC may charge a $25.00 diagnosis fee.

Additional Terms for Chargeable Repairs


4. Additional terms for chargeable repairs

4.1 If the repair to your Equipment is not covered by a guarantee or warranty or the nature of the repair is beyond any terms of your guarantee or warranty, we will charge you for the repair in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.

4.2 The cost of repair will be calculated where possible in accordance with our standard charges as published from time to time.

4.3 The cost of repair may not fall within our standard charges where the Equipment is not generally supported by us, Equipment repairs are sub-contracted, or the nature of repair is not within our standard rates of repair. In this event, we will provide you with an estimate of the cost of repair, and we will not repair the Equipment until we have received your acceptance of that estimate.

4.4 If we are unable to repair your Equipment, no fault is found on your Equipment, or you do not accept our estimate, we will return your Equipment to you unrepaired, and we reserve the right to charge you an inspection fee in accordance with our standard charges.

4.5 We may keep your Equipment until all charges payable have been paid. We may also charge an additional fee for storage of your Equipment.




5. Liability

5.1 Our entire liability in respect of any single cause of action arising out of or in connection with this Agreement or its subject matter (whether for breach of contract, tort, including negligence, statute or otherwise at all) shall be limited, to the extent that the cause of action related to our supply of the Services, at our option to: (a) supplying the Services again; (b) payment of the cost of having the Services supplied again; or (c) repaying to you any amount that you have paid in respect of the Services.

5.2 If, through our negligence or willful misconduct, we damage the Equipment beyond economical repair, our liability will be limited to the cost of providing a replacement with a product that is the same as or similar to the Equipment.

5.3 Any data or information that you may have stored on the Equipment shall remain your sole responsibility and we accept no liability for loss or corruption of such data howsoever caused. It is your responsibility to keep a record of any such data.

5.4 Nothing in this clause 5 shall apply so as to limit or exclude our liability for: (a) death or personal injury resulting from our negligence; (b) breach of any terms implied by statute; (c) any claim arising under the Consumer Protection Act 2007; or (d) fraudulent misrepresentation.

5.5 In no circumstance shall we be liable to you for any indirect, special or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with this Agreement, including any loss of business, revenue, profits, anticipated savings, goodwill, or any other indirect or consequential loss or damage howsoever arising.

5.6 Except as expressly provided in this Agreement, all representations, conditions, and warranties, whether expressed or implied (by statute or otherwise) are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5.7 We shall not be liable for any claim arising under this Agreement unless you give us written notice of the claim within three (3) months of becoming aware of the circumstances giving rise to the claim or, if earlier, three (3) months from the time you ought reasonably to have become aware of such circumstances.


Warranty on Parts


6. Warranty on parts

6.1 Aftermarket screens for Samsung, Pixel, and Motorola devices have a limited warranty of 14 days from the date of installation. These screens are known to cause issues, and by signing this agreement, the customer acknowledges and accepts this limitation.

6.2 Parts covered under the “TG Lifetime” warranty are covered under a lifetime warranty. Cracked glass and/or liquid damage will void this warranty. Lines and dots with no cracks or liquid damage will be covered.

6.3 Devices that have been opened and tampered with by the customer, another shop, friend, or family will be voided of any warranty. Customers should bring the device back to us if there are any issues with the part Tech Guru LLC has installed.


Warranty Life Span


7. Warranty Life Span

7.1 All screens will come with a Lifetime Warranty.

7.2 A Lifetime warranty is determined by the lifespan the manufacturer gives the device, which is generally 1 year from the time of purchase.

7.3 Batteries all come with a 6-month warranty starting at the time of installation.

7.4 All other repairs, unless otherwise stated, come with a 90-day warranty, starting at the time of installation.

7.5 All sales come with a 90-day warranty starting on the date of purchase.

7.6 A warranty does not extend if a part is replaced.

7.7 Tech Guru LLC has the right to void any warranty at any time for any reason deemed customer responsibility or out of our control.

7.8 Tech Guru LLC reserves the right to deem a device beyond warranty repair.

7.9 Tech Guru LLC is not responsible for a replacement part failure when it is determined the failure is caused by another part or component within a device.


Apple “Non-Genuine” Message


8. Apple “Non-Genuine” Message

8.1 Apple devices may display a “non-genuine” message after certain repairs are performed by third-party service providers. This message does not affect the functionality of the repaired part(s) and is a result of Apple’s security measures. Tech Guru LLC shall not be held responsible for this message, and it shall not be considered a valid reason for refunds or warranty claims.


Third-Party Repair


9. Third-Party Repair

9.1 Tech Guru LLC is an independent third-party repair establishment and holds no affiliation or association with any brands mentioned, including but not limited to Apple, Samsung, Pixel, or Motorola. Tech Guru LLC makes no claims to hold certifications for authorized repairs for any brands.

9.2 Tech Guru LLC provides repair services using high-quality parts sourced from reputable suppliers. However, please be aware that third-party repairs may void manufacturer warranties, and Tech Guru LLC shall not be held responsible for any such voided warranties.


Mail-In Repairs


10. Mail-In Repairs

10.1 Customers opting for mail-in repairs must provide tracking codes for shipment. It is strongly advised to use signature confirmation for added security.

10.2 Tech Guru LLC shall not be responsible for any lost or damaged packages during transit to or from our repair facility.


Warranty for Accessories


11. Warranty for Accessories

11.1 All CellHelmet brand accessories purchased through Tech Guru LLC come with a lifetime warranty against defects.

11.2 All charge cables and charging blocks sold by Tech Guru LLC are covered by a lifetime warranty and have a 7-day return policy.


Device Purchases


12. Device Purchases

12.1 All devices purchased through Tech Guru LLC are covered by a 6-month warranty against defects.


Appointment Cancellation Policy


13. Appointment Cancellation Policy

13.1 Customers may cancel appointments up to 1 day in advance without incurring any fees.

13.2 Cancellations made with less than 24-hour notice will result in a 5% cancellation fee of the total cost of the scheduled repair.




14. Accessories

14.1 Tech Guru LLC shall not be responsible for any accessories left behind by customers during the repair process. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all accessories are collected before leaving the premises or arranging for mail-in repairs.


Intellectual Property Rights


15. Intellectual Property Rights

15.1 Tech Guru LLC holds all intellectual property rights to logos, content, images, videos, and social media content associated with Tech Guru LLC.


Prosecution Rights

16. Prosecution Rights

16.1 Tech Guru LLC holds the right to prosecute any Person or Persons and/or company that may willfully impersonate, claim to be, or claim association with Tech Guru LLC without Tech Guru LLC’s knowledge and/or permission to do so.
