Do I need an appointment?

Yes. Tech Guru is a mobile-first repair service, so appointments help us reserve time, confirm parts availability, and coordinate pickup, delivery, or eligible onsite service.

Do you have a storefront I can walk into?

Tech Guru operates as a mobile-first repair service. We do not rely on a traditional walk-in storefront. Service is arranged by appointment, with pickup and delivery available and select repairs eligible for onsite service.

What areas do you serve?

Tech Guru serves Grand Forks, East Grand Forks, and surrounding communities. The current public service area and radius are shown on the About page and may vary by appointment type.

Do you offer pickup and delivery?

Yes. Pickup and delivery is one of Tech Guru's primary service methods. Availability depends on the repair, location, and booking settings for the selected service.

Do you offer onsite repair?

Select services can be completed onsite when the repair, device, and location qualify. The booking system will show onsite service when it is available for the repair you choose.

How long will my repair take?

Repair time depends on the device, repair type, diagnostics, and parts availability. Many common repairs can be completed quickly once parts are available, while board-level and data-recovery work may take longer.

Can I book online?

Yes. You can choose your device, repair service, service method, date and time, and payment option through Tech Guru's online booking system.

Do I have to pay when I book?

Some services may require a deposit or full payment to secure the appointment, while others may not. The booking page will show the payment requirement before you confirm.

What if my device is not listed?

Choose the closest matching device category or contact Tech Guru. We work on a wide range of electronics and can often provide a custom repair quote for devices that are not yet listed online.

What if I do not know what is wrong with my device?

Book a diagnostic service. We can inspect the device, identify the likely cause, and explain the repair options before additional work is performed.

Do you do micro-soldering and board-level repair?

Yes. Advanced diagnostics, micro-soldering, connector replacement, trace repair, and other board-level work are core Tech Guru services.

Can you recover data from a damaged device?

Yes. Data recovery is available for many phones, tablets, computers, and storage devices. Recovery success depends on the type and severity of the damage.

Do you repair liquid-damaged devices?

We can evaluate liquid-damaged electronics and may be able to clean, diagnose, recover data, or repair board-level damage. Liquid damage can be unpredictable, so successful repair cannot be guaranteed.

Can you fix a device that another shop already worked on?

Often, yes. We can evaluate prior repair work and attempt additional repair when practical. Previous damage, missing parts, or prior board work can affect cost and repairability.

Do you use original parts?

Part options depend on the device and repair. When original, genuine, refurbished original, or premium aftermarket choices are available, the booking system or quote will identify the available options.

What is a premium aftermarket screen?

A premium aftermarket screen is a high-quality third-party replacement display selected to provide strong performance and value when an original manufacturer part is not used.

What is a refurbished original screen?

A refurbished original screen uses an original display panel that has been professionally refurbished, usually by replacing damaged outer glass while retaining the original display assembly.

What warranty do repairs include?

Warranty coverage depends on the brand, repair, and part type. The applicable warranty is shown in Tech Guru's Repair Terms and may range from 30 days to lifetime coverage against qualifying defects.

Does the warranty cover cracked screens or liquid damage?

No. Warranty coverage is void for cracks, impact damage, liquid damage, corrosion, or other accidental or customer-caused damage after the repair.

Do you warranty batteries?

Replacement batteries generally include a six-month warranty unless otherwise stated in the repair terms or quote.

Will an aftermarket front camera affect Face ID?

On supported iPhones, a third-party front-camera replacement may disable Face ID. When that applies, the booking system or repair quote will disclose it before you proceed.

Will replacement parts show warnings in iOS?

Some replacement or previously used Apple parts may trigger parts-history or calibration messages. Genuine Apple Service Pack parts are generally the best option when new-part calibration is required.

Can you replace MacBook batteries?

Many repairs do not require data removal, but data loss is always possible when a device is damaged or undergoing repair. Back up important data whenever possible before service.

Should I back up my device before repair?

Yes, whenever possible. A current backup is the safest way to protect your photos, documents, messages, and other important data.

Can you repair a device that will not turn on?

Yes. No-power problems can come from batteries, charging circuits, ports, board damage, liquid exposure, storage failure, or other causes. Diagnostics is the best starting point.

Do you sell accessories?

Accessory availability varies, but Tech Guru may offer items such as screen protection, cables, chargers, and other repair-related accessories during booking or service.

Can I add more than one repair to the same device?

Yes. When multiple services are available for the same device, you can select more than one repair. Eligible additional labor may receive a multi-service discount depending on the current booking configuration.

How far in advance do I need to schedule?

Lead time varies by repair and parts availability. The booking system automatically limits appointment dates based on the configured lead time and inventory rules.

What happens if a part has to be ordered?

The booking system accounts for parts lead time when possible. If a part must be ordered, available appointment dates may be pushed out to allow time for the part to arrive.

Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?

When enabled, secure self-service links allow customers to reschedule or cancel within the shop's configured cutoff window.

Do you offer same-day repair?

Some repairs may qualify for same-day service when the correct part is in stock and the schedule allows it. Availability varies by device and repair.
